The Latest Version of the VFind™ Security Toolkit (VSTK)

All versions of CyberSoft's VSTK Family of computer security toolkits fall under this umberella - VSTK, VSTK/P, and VSTK/E all share the same basic tools; therefore, this version number applies to all the toolkits in CyberSoft's Vfind™ Security Toolkit line. Customers with current Maintenance and Support contracts are eligible to upgrade to the latest version for free.

What's new in version 173

Support for the following platforms has been added:
- Sun Solaris 10 on Sparc
- Sun Solaris 10 on x86
- SCO OpenServer 6 on x86
The following platforms are no longer supported:
- Sun Solaris 2.5.1 on x86
- Sun Solaris 7 on x86
The Universal Atomic Disintegrator (UAD) tool has been updated - it now can expand bzip3 compressed files and Macintosh Stuffit archives to be scanned. It can also identify i.a. Cybersoft VDL files, compiled VDL data files, Mach-O and Alpha executables. Two new command line parameters can be used to limit UAD's use of system resources; this gives some protection from zip bombs.
VFind™ now warns about unmatched quotes in VDLs, and the default --vdl-data-size is now computed from the size of the VDLs.
